We are frequently asked if copying Living Hope videos is permitted, even if they are intended for free giveaways.

The short answer is... "No, sorry."

For legal reasons we are required retain and uphold our copyright; our authorized DVD replication facility is the only agency who may legally make copies of our DVDs. This is in part due to the fact that we use copyrighted music, for which we pay royalties, and so we must abide by the terms of our contract with the music providers. If we were to permit others to make copies, we would be in breach of contract.

In addition to this, Living Hope Ministries makes these videos available at $4.00 each for ministry use. (It's not like you're saving much by copying them anyway!)

It has always been our goal to make them as inexpensive as possible. This $4.00 covers only our material and distribution costs. It doesn't cover production expenses, it doesn't pay production salaries, it doesn't cover operating costs. And the only way we can let them go for such a low price is if we "move" enough of them in a year. When people make unauthorized copies instead of acquiring them from us, this cuts into our ability to keep the cost as low as we do. Copying also creates potential compatibility issues and encourages further piracy.

So please...help us maintain the integrity of the product, and our ability to continue making it available for such a low cost, by not making illegal copies!
